Hongqiao Walk

Early last century, Hongqiao Rd (Rainbow Bridge Road) was in the countryside, where wealthy Shanghainese had weekend homes. Come for a walk and try spotting these homes hidden amongst the modern development and imagine life back in those days. You will also see sculptures and parks and visit the old “international cemetery” where one of China’s truly liberated women is buried and remembered. This walk is surely going to be typical Shanghai – so many different sights in a small area. Well not too small, make sure you are wearing good walking shoes!

The start and finish will be within walking distance of metro stations. All information will be provided when signing up.

Children under 16 Free!  No need to sign them up. Just bring them along. There is plenty of space and there are good walking paths for push chairs!
